MCLC COUNCIL HIGHLIGHTS
In order to have better communication between the Church Leadership Council and the Congregation, we plan to provide Highlights after each monthly meeting. The following are Highlights from the latest council meeting.
CLEAN-UP GREENVILLE
It’s time for planning this year’s CLEAN-UP GREENVILLE event. Wendi Philley has been the point of contact for this community service project in recent years, however, she will not be able to commit to being POC this year. If you are interested and willing to help with this very simple event please contact the church office via your attendance card or calling 616-754-4886. Essentially, it is a simple matter of providing garbage bags and gloves to the volunteers who attend and then picking up loose trashin the Baldwin Heights grounds and Veteran’s Park. This usually takes place at a time of your choosing during the week before Danish Festival. We usually divide into two groups and are finished working within an hour. Pastor Jeff treats us all to DairyQueen after. Thank you for considering volunteering for either being point of contact, or attending, the 2018 Clean-Up Greenville event.
LANDSCAPING LEADER
As you may recall, Kjerstin Hogan has stepped down from her position as head of the Landscaping team.Please inform the officeby noting your attendance card, or calling/emailing,if you have an interest in carrying on the beautiful work shehas been doing over these last years with maintaining the church landscaping. Kjerstin would love to pass on her knowledge by coming alongside anyone who is interested in this leadership role and “showing them the ropes”. With your willingness to serve and the congregations support we look forward to the ongoing maintenance of our beautiful landscapes.
